Ncl encore water slides12/12/2023 This experience costs $9.95 per person per game. Hide behind the tail of a serpent and blast your friends, or stand under the fallen Greek pillars to take cover from the enemy. Have you ever played laser tag on a cruise ship? The Norwegian Encore has a huge open-air laser tag arena with Greek and Nordic themes. Also, be sure to note that the free beverage package on NCL does NOT include specialty coffee or bottled water. The Premium package on celebrity is definitely superior to the free package on NCL. Cost to upgrade from the free package to the Premium package on Celebrity is 11/day. For an additional cost, cruisers can immerse themselves in many different virtual reality racing games, mazes, puzzles, and escape rooms. Gratuities for the free package on NCL are 20/day. For the family there is the Aqua Park, packed full of water slides while if you want. The Encore also includes an area called the Galaxy Pavilion. Make a splash onboard Norwegian Encore at one of the many swimming pools. Since the hot tub systems need to be super chlorinated daily, sometimes the chlorine does not cooperate and drop back to operating levels on time, so opening may be delayed an hour or two. Public hot tubs are cleaned and sanitized daily, again midnight to 0300. While this activity is not included in the cost of the cruise, adults and children can ride for just $15 per person per ride, or ride as much as you want for the duration of your cruise for a set cost. When I worked for NCL, pools were only cleaned once a week, typically midnight to 0300. The Encore boasts the largest go-kart track at sea, spanning over 1,100 feet of track. The Norwegian Encore was built with young people in mind. Spoiler alert – there were so many to discover!! During my recent sailing experience, I was tasked with paying particular attention to features and activities aboard the ship designed specifically for young people. I recently had an opportunity to sail aboard the Norwegian Encore for a “Seminar at Sea.” A “Seminar at Sea” is an experience put on by Norwegian Cruise Line’s Business Development Managers so that travel agents can become familiar with Norwegian’s cruise ships, ship features, and product offerings. It gave us a chance to get to the Q Restaurant in time to purchase the passes.By: Hailey Kanipe, a Marvelous Mouse Travels agent We spent $179 to have Priority Access, which allowed us to board the ship with the Platinum, Platinum Plus and Ambassador guests. I’m not sure when this area sold out, but my guess is you had to be among the first three or four groups. It gave my wife and I a piece of mind, even if meant paying $209 and having to get on the ship early to procure one of the 300 available passes. Chairs are literally on top of one another, and on sea days, it was a sea of humanity. The lack of space around the pool is a valid complaint. The Encore also has a Go Kart track and Laser Tag, which was not on the Escape (it had a Ropes Course and Spice H2O, an area that has drawn a lot of conversation on Cruise Critic and other boards). Some things were different as the Kids’ clubs were down on Deck 5. In some ways, the design was similar in terms of the public areas on Decks 5, 6, 7 and 8. My initial thoughts upon boarding were, “Wow, this ship is massive.” It reminded me of the Escape on steroids. I am 54 years old and sailed with my wife, who celebrated a birthday aboard the ship, and our 16-year-old daughter. For background, this was my 14th cruise overall and fourth with NCL, having previously sailed on the Pearl, Gem and Escape. We just enjoyed a fabulous week aboard NCL’s newest ship, the Encore.
